With fuel prices skyrocketing and individual usage showing no signs of slowing down, GM is calling for a tax increase of as much as a dollar. In this CNN article by Chris Isidore @CNNMoney posted on June 7th 2011 [CNNMoney article] it portrays a GM that seems like they want more government help to drive sales for them instead of just adapting to a changing market. It seems as though this is another short term fix for the automotive giant. What so many other large businesses have realized, and are now moving towards, is to become more adaptive to a faster paced more volatile market. What are your thoughts?
